DiSC - Understanding styles to build effective teams
Location: Brisbane
Date: Thursday 11 February 2010
Event Series: Spin
The modern DiSC theory first appeared in William Moulton Marston's book, The Emotions of Normal People back in 1920. The simple 24 item questionnaire was designed to help quickly appraise different behavioural types for analysis and comparison. Today, DiSC is one of the most widely used assessment systems in the world. However the effectiveness of any assessment system is dependent on the ways that it can be put to practical use.
In this practical learning session, explore the evolution of the DiSC system to today's new Circumplex model and:
- Learn the key drivers for each style;
- A cheat's guide to DiSC style people reading;
- Recognise limitations and motivators and how to capitalise on them;
- Test your style knowledge.
Booked and paid participants are invited to undertake a DiSC self assessment at a special rate prior to the event.
