Speak and Be Heard: Communicating with Presence and Authenticity

Location: Gold Coast
Date: Monday 27 February 2012
Event Series: Afternoon Hot Topic

“Whenever you have a conversation with anyone other than yourself, you are ‘public speaking'. ‘Public Speaking' doesn't only refer to speaking on stage; it refers to every speaking and connecting moment in your life with other human beings.” Geraldine Barkworth

Effective communication with others first begins with connecting with the self. Once this is re-established then connection, trust, rapport and leadership with others will follow.

In an experiential presentation, holistic speaking coach and presenter Geraldine Barkworth will show how to use natural authenticity and presence to free your inner public speaker.

Geraldine will delve into how to use your body to add authenticity and impact to your words, how to shift with ease from one on one conversations to larger groups, how to manage speaking nerves through physiology and how to ‘get our of your head and into your body' to become fully present and achieve the necessary results.

This presentation is particularly suitable for nervous public speakers and those who wish to speak with greater depth and authenticity.
