AIM on Site - "Leadership Development"
Go behind the scenes of one of the largest public sector organisations in Queensland

Date: Thursday 25 March 2010
Location: Rockhampton
Series: AIM on Site Series

The next installment of AIM's popular On Site series is dedicated to leadership development in the Central Queensland Health District and will be hosted by Queensland Health Executive Director and finalist in the 2009 Management Excellence Awards – Rockhampton, Christine Mummery.

Go behind the scenes to learn of the leadership development practices of one of the largest public sector organisations in Queensland.

Queensland Health has developed and implemented a robust leadership development framework that has offered training programs, coaching and leadership team workshops to employees over the past 4 years.

Christine will provide a candid, insiders look at the leadership framework in use at Queensland Health, and some of the development processes that have been undertaken specific to Central Queensland.

The presentation will cover:

  • Queensland Health's Leadership Framework.
  • Training and Professional Development Program offerings
  • Central Queensland Health Service District's approach to leadership, people and culture
  • Demonstrated outcomes and ongoing challenges of the program

This session will intrigue managers with an interest in leadership theory and professional development, as well as people interested in the organisation of public health care systems.
