Speaking Groups - free for AIM membersThe objective of the AIM Speaking Groups is to provide a vehicle for management professionals to develop their personal communication and meeting management skills. The AIM Speaking Groups offer members a supportive, friendly and relaxed environment in which to learn and practice the skills of speech development, public speaking, chairmanship, meeting procedures and evaluation of self and others. There are two AIM Speaking Groups operating in Brisbane. Both hold weekly meetings at AIM Management House, Spring Hill:
AIM Speaking Groups are Special Interest Networks (SPINs) of the Australian Institute of Management. Participation is free and exclusive to Personal Members and staff of Corporate Members of AIM Qld & NT. Visitors and prospective members are welcome to attend one Speaking Group meeting without any obligation to join AIM. Personal or corporate membership of AIM is required for on-going participation. Those visitors who do join, will be making a commitment to self development. You will learn new skills and become a proficient and confident speaker in a variety of situations. Join us at our next meeting and learn how you can:
Special evenings will be staged throughout the year that will combine the two groups and their visitors and will give attendees the opportunity to learn about relevant topics from professional presenters while enjoying some food and drink in a casual atmosphere. Details of these events will be available on the AIM Online Events Directory, at weekly meetings and in the Agenda magazine. For further details about the AIM Speaking Groups or to register your attendance at a meeting, please phone AIM on 13 16 48. |
